1. Condition assessment of concrete foundation affected by Tsunami in southern side at Bhavini construction site, Kalpakkam.

Undersigned is acting as one of the team member in this project. The undersigned visited Bhavini site, Kalpakkam and made certain preliminary studies in order to assess the quality on concrete foundation cast during Tsunami. During this on the spot measurements, the undersigned actively involved in various corrosion survey measurements such as open circuit potential, Resistivity measurements, rebound hammer test and spot test to check the alkalinity of concrete. During this preliminary visit, core samples were collected at 10 locations and the undersigned is also involved in chemical analysis of concrete samples such as chloride and pH. Later the undersigned actively involved during the preparation of the detailed report about the quality of concrete and the same was submitted to Shri. Prabhat Kumar, Project Director, BHAVINI Project, Kalpakkam.

In addition to on the spot measurements, undersigned also involved in assessing the compressive strength of cylindrical core samples send by the BHAVINI authorities and measurement of pH at various depths of core samples.

2. Experimental building using fly ash in the campus of SERC, Chennai.

The undersigned visited SERC, Chennai in order to assess the corrosion condition of the rebar embedded in the fly ash building. During this condition survey, the undersigned actively involved in various corrosion survey measurements such as open circuit potential, surface potential, Resistivity, rebound hammer test and visual observation. During this visit, fly ash samples were collected and the undersigned is involved in chemical analysis of fly ash samples also. Later the undersigned actively involved during the preparation of the detailed report about the corrosion condition of the fly ash building and the same was submitted to Mr. OP.Rao, Sci F, CSIR, New Delhi.
