Achievements


    1974 - Titanium substrate insoluble anode(TSIA) and graphite substrate lead oxide anode
                (GSLD) were developed
    1974 - Rohini Rocket launched with CSIR-CECRI made Ammonium perchlorate at Thumba
    1976 - Extraction of sodium metal standardized to establish 2500A cell
    1976 - Magnesium metal technology was standardized for the first time in India
    1996 - Cement polymer composite coatings (CPCC) developed and technology transferred to
                M/s.Fakhrudin Ratlamwala of Sharjah, UAE, besides being licensed to 15 industries 
                in India    
    1997 - One tonne cryogenic engine thrust chamber was developed using electroforming
                at CSIR-CECRI for Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. Golden Jubilee year of CSIR-CECRI 
                begins on 25th July 1997   
    2000 - Online health monitoring of bridges and nuclear reactors
    2004 - Hydrogen based PEM fuel cell developed and demonstrated
    2009 - Novel HbA1c meter - patent assigned to M/s.Piramal Healthcare India Ltd
    2010 - Establishment of a state-of-the-art battery testing facility
